DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY; ESTABLISH FAIR MARKET
VALUE; AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF SAME; DEDICATE FOR
STREET PURPOSES / EICHSTADT ROAD EXTENDED

PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Approved
WHEREAS, the City Administration has determined it is in the best interests of
the City of Oshkosh to acquire certain land to extend Eichstadt Road at its southern
terminus and address a drainage issue in this general area; and
WHEREAS, said land to be acquired is as shown on the attached certified survey
map; and
WHEREAS, the property and interest to be acquired includes land and buildings,
if any, exclusive of equipment and fixtures both movable and immovable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies that in order for said purpose to be
accomplished, it is necessary for the City to acquire the property as noted on the
attached map. It is further determined by the Common Council that acquisition of said
property is hereby determined necessary pursuant to the provisions of Section 32.07 of
the Wisconsin Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fair market value for said property to be
acquired is SEVENTEEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($17,300.00)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to purchase said property and execute all documents necessary to
consummate this transaction. Money for this purpose is appropriated from Account No.
561-2010-1702-00000 Storm Water Utility - Land.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby dedicates said property for
street right-of-way purposes for Eichstadt Road.
