PURPOSE:APPLY FOR FUNDS FOR 2006 / SENIOR CENTER
INITIATED BY:DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT / AGING
SERVICES DIVISION
WHEREAS, the Oshkosh Seniors Center desires to request funding from the
Winnebago County Commission on Aging for the 2006 calendar year to assist in the
operation of continuing various services of the Center for older citizens of the
community, which include but is not limited to, the Health Program and program
assistant position at the Center; and
WHEREAS, the Oshkosh Committee on Aging has recommended continuing to
offer said services and personnel position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to submit
proposals to the Winnebago County Commission on Aging to secure funds for the 2006
calendar year for services as enumerated above, at the Oshkosh Seniors Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if said grant funds are awarded, the proper
City officials are hereby authorized and directed to accept said funds, pursuant to the
terms of the grant applications, and to execute any and all documents necessary for
purposes of same.
