As per Section 30-5 Enforcement of the City Zoning Ordinance, the Director of Community Development, or
designee, must approval all plans, except the following: (1) Alterations or interior work when the use is
conforming and when no change in use is proposed. (2) Maintenance items, e.g. siding, windows, etc.,
when the use is conforming and when no change is proposed.

Dear Mr. Ruck:
Per your request a final building inspection was made at 533 W.
4th Avenue on November 16,1994. The following items were found
to be in noncompliance:
1) Per ILHR 21.04, open guardrails or handrails shall be provided
with intermediate rails to prevent the passage of a sphere with a
diameter larger than 6 inches. Additional intermediate rails must
l be ~alled at the following locations:
() l' ~~irectly above the nosing of the treads at the exterior

\ ~the lower units rear deck must have intermediate rails
properly spaced to comply with the above requirements.
~er Local Code requirements, install deadbolt locks on all
exterior unit doors.
All above items must be corrected, and final inspection called
for within 30 days of this notice in order to secure the
certificate of occupancy, Please call 236-5051 if you have any

The Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector,
Plumbing Inspector, and Heating Inspector shall
be notified, and shall make a final inspection
of all new buildings, additions and
alterations. If no violation of this Chapter or
other applicable codes and standards are found,
the Building Inspector shall issue a valid
Certificate of Occupancy. No building or part
thereof shall be occupied until such approvals
and Certificate have been issued, nor shall any
building be occupied in any manner which
conflicts with the conditions put forth in the
Certificate of Occupancy.
The 30 day notice sent on 11/16/1994 has not
been complied with as of 1/4/1995. If the
necessary corrections are not made by
1-19-1995, citations for noncompliance shall be
issued.
FINAL NOTICE!
Deficiencies must be corrected and approved before concealment. Call 236-5051
to arrange for a final inspection.
