Basically what this program involves is changing out any sign or logo that has either the name or colors of Amoco and replacing them with signs of like sizes that carry the new logos and colors. If you could examine the enclosed drawings and proposals you will see pictures and measurements of the existing signs as well as'graphic overlays of what the signs will look like after completion. In almost all cases we have proposed to have less square footage and height On pole and monument signs that are proposed for replacement. The purpose for this decision is so that all existing foundations can be used without problems involving windload. On pole and monument signs proposed for re-face we will remove the torch and oval sign head, replace it with a smaller BP logo head and simply replace the plastic faces in the rest of the signs. Still, the square footage and heights will be less. The canopies will be re-imaged with the new colors and logos as well. If the building has an Amoco sign we will replace it with a smaller sign that says "Shop". All fuel dispensers will be re-decaled with the new colors also. This program will not effect all other signage on the site. Only those items that are branded Amoco will be involved in this program. Please let me know if you have any questions or require additional information. Once the fees are determined please let me know and I will immediately remit a check for that amount. Once the permit is approved could you send a copy to me for our on site supervisor to have on the site and so that we can have a copy for our master files for BP? As per our discussion - it is my understanding that 3700 Jackson will NOT have a new ground sign. I have sent you plans for the existing sings at 708 Murdock, and 1585 W 20th. To date I have not been able to locate plans for the existing sign at 1759 w 9th. As far as work being done on the four sites you have applied for permits, I have no problem with allowing work to begin prior to the permits being issued, as long as that work does not include the ground signs that are being replace, and need the revised engineering. ..... The 20th street project show a sign height of 25 feet, the existing sign was only 20 feet, and the foundation was not per the new plans. The Murdock Ave sign also has a different type of foundation. Please have the engineer review these issues and certify that the existing foundations will be adequate for the new signs. You may need to enlarge these scanned drawing to see all the detail. These locations are 1585 W 20th Ave and the other is 1759 W 9th Ave. The other ~ locations are not receiving new poles and are scheduled to be refaced only so no drawings are ~,,~ailable~,~ I have already sent you the information you requested about the costs per site and the name of the company doing the wiring of the signs for all 4 sites. Now, with the drawings, I think the only thing I need is a list of all the UL #s for the signs which you said I could provide once the signs are delivered to the sites. These will be provided before they are installed. Since the other two sites didn't have to have the drawings could you issue these permits? Again, I will provide the UL #s when the signs are delivered. It takes many week to arrange for the work to be done and I cannot schedule any of the work until I have permits in hand. I ask that you please review the attached drawings which I am submitting for your approVal and let me know if any permit fees will be required prior to us beginning the re-imaging process. I am in the process of getting the UL #s. The approximate cost for each site will be $20,000. I didn't know what was meant by the columns/posts be changed. The post on the pole sign will be changed because the entire sign will be replaced with a new sign that is smaller using the same foundation. The columns on the canopy will not be replaced only painted. Could you let me know what else I need to do. Who will be wiring the new signs 2. We need the UL listing numbers for any new signs ( where more than just sign lenses are being changed) 3.
