HomeMy WebLinkAboutAddendum 1 of 1 City of Oshkosh OCC Carpet, Painting & Wallcovering 20261 ADDENDUM 1 of 1 CITY OF OSHKOSH INVIATION FOR BIDS OSHKOSH CONVENTION CENTER CARPET, PAINTING & WALLCOVERING Distributed: March 16, 2026 Question/Issue Answer 1. Are ceilings to be painted within the Convention Center? A: Yes, per the Paint/Stain Finish Schedule (ID100), the painting/wallcovering bid is to include painting of all drywall ceilings and soffits as noted in the plans. 2. Are the exhibition hall ceilings to be painted? A. Yes, per the Paint/Stain Finish Schedule (ID100), the painting/wallcovering bid is to include painting of the exhibition hall ceilings, per the specifications noted. The exhibition hall light fixtures, speakers and clear plastic sheet dividers will be removed by others prior to commencement of this work. Painting/wallcovering bid contractor will be responsible for any taping/prep as necessary. NOTE: this scope will be submitted as Alternate Bid 1 for this project. (see attached to this Addendum). 3. Updated Bid Proposal Form A. Bidders must use the updated bid proposal form and acknowledge addenda issuance, and submit a Base Bid and Alternate Bid 1 for the painting of the exhibition hall ceilings. 4. Who is removing the trophy cabinet on the mezzanine level? A. The city will remove the trophy cabinet and cover with drywall. The painting/wallcovering bid is to include new tape/mud, texture and paint to match walls in that area as noted. 5. Is the painted east masonry block wall within the exhibition hall spaces to be painted? A. Yes. The masonry areas of the east walls within the exhibition space will be considered general wall paint, per the Paint/Stain Finish Schedule (ID100). The wallcovering for these walls is specified on ID200. 6. Who will remove the artwork, room signage, wall sconces and corner guards? A. The corner guard remove/replace is addressed in ID100 under Moulding/Trim. The painting/wallcovering bid is responsible for this work. The city will remove the artwork, room signage and wall sconces. The city will reinstall any room signage. 7. Carpet contractor will be responsible for keeping the loop intact during demo and new carpet tile installation. If loops are accidentally damaged during the work, the alarm will be heard, to assist in identifying specific damaged area(s). Carpet contractor will be responsible for any costs to repair loop. 8. Painting of Elevator Door and Cabinet Heater Covers A. The painting/wallcovering bid will include painting of the elevator doors and all cabinet heater covers per plan. 9. Elevator carpet A. The carpet bid will include matching new carpet within the elevator cab. 10. Drywall repairs A. The painting/wallcovering contractor will be responsible for replacing any drywall considered normal wear and tear, or for any drywall damaged in the course of removing existing wallcovering. Any drywall repairs beyond normal wear and tear will be brought forward to City for review/approval as part of change order request. 11. North wall of exhibition halls- wallcovering A. The painting/wallcovering bid drawing (ID200) has that the north wall of the exhibition halls (Carter/Anna M/Evelyn conference rooms) are to be painted PT-02. This is in error. To clarify, the north walls will be replaced with wallcovering, matching the other exhibition hall wallcovering specs. 12. Will the partition closet doors need to include wallcovering? A. Yes- per the Paint/Stain Finish Schedule (ID100), the painting/wallcovering bid will be responsible for supplying/applying the wallcovering of the partition closet doors. 13.
