Groundbreaking Ceremony and Construction Update for Clearwells Construction Project: On
Wednesday, May 6th, at 1:30 p.m.., the City will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for the
start of the construction for the Water Filtration Plant Clearwells Replacement Project. The
public is welcome to attend. Please park on Lake Shore Drive or the surrounding streets.
The Contractor will begin installation of the temporary construction fence along Lake Shore
Drive the week of April 27th. After the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Lake Shore Drive will be
closed until the Project is complete. Pedestrian access on the grass will be maintained for a
majority of the Project.
Beginning May 7th, additional no parking signs will be added to Lake Shore Drive to restrict
parking near the construction and Water Filtration Plant entrance, due to the increased large
vehicle traffic that will be occurring in the area.
