Thank you for your interest in Oshkosh Media training classes. Each class is a two -hour session. Classes are $20
per person if each attendee donates 5 hours of volunteer time to Oshkosh Media productions. Volunteer hours
must be completed prior to the start of your classes. If attendees choose not to donate their time the classes are
$50 per person. NOTE: Any program produced using Oshkosh Media equipment or resources must be submitted
for distribution on Life TV.
Class descriptions can be found on the back of this form. To register for classes, please complete this form and
return with payment to Oshkosh Media, staff will contact you to discuss class availability and schedule information.

TRAINING CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
These training classes are an excellent opportunity for individuals or groups interested in learning more
about community media to get hands-on training with professional video equipment.
FIELD CAMCORDERS & VIDEO EDITING
This class is for those just beginning in the world of community media . Emphasis is put on using the
Oshkosh Media field camcorders and learning how to master recording, framing, audio, lighting and
other field production techniques. The class also gets into the basics of video editing and how to put a
program together. Participants will be given access to the Adobe Premiere Pro knowledge base and will
view tutorials on the basics of video editing using Premiere Pro video editing software. Participants will
also learn about how to reserve equipment and other administrative procedures.
STUDIO PRODUCTION & GRAPHICS
This class is for those that intend to produce a program in the Oshkosh Media studio. Emphasis is put
on the basics of the studio and control room, focusing on the variety of positions, and a complete
rundown of all equipment such as cameras, audio board and video switcher. Participants will learn how
to plan, direct and produce studio programs. Participants will also view tutorials on using NewTek Live
Text graphics software. We recommend a crew of 3 -5 persons for each studio program.
