1. OPD CELEBRATES RETIREMENT: The Oshkosh Police Department celebrated the
retirement of Bonnie Sagmeister on February 24, 2026. Bonnie began her career with the
department as a part-time Parking Control Officer in 2000. She then worked part-time as a
Report Processor in March of 2001 before transitioning to a full-time position as Report
Processor in April of 2001, where she proudly served for 25 years until her retirement.
During her tenure with the department, Bonnie received a Noteworthy Performance of
Duty Award for her professional work performance and going above and beyond her
normal assigned responsibilities.
We want to thank Bonnie for her outstanding dedication and service to the Oshkosh Police
Department and to the City of Oshkosh. Congratulations, Bonnie – we wish you the very
best for a happy and healthy retirement!
