In response to your Letter of December 20, 1974 , please be advised
that Items 1 thru 5 of paragraph 1 have been complied with.
In response to Item 1 of paragraph 2, the exhauster in room 28
is over and above the code requirements , and has been provided
to remove smoke from the area during occasional conferences ,
When this unit is in operation the out-side air dampers on the
associated roof top units wi11 open to admit more out-side air.
Please note that the heating capacities of these units far
exceed the heating load required even when this exhauster is in
operation.
The plenum above the suspended ceiLing is of incombustable
construction and there is no hazardous piping in this plenum,
as a11 of the gas and refrigerant piping is above the toof .
The structural members carrying the heating and ventilating
Loads have been determined to be adequate.
In response to paragraph 3 : The wa11s, floor and roof are of 2 hr .
or better fire resistive rating. There are no doors connecting
the factory to the paint room, This is not an inside room, but
is a separate fire resistive appendage to the main plant .
The duct heater is not located with-in the hazardous area , and
is supplying 100% of the out-side air to the hazardous area thru
the unit . The unit is separated from the hazardous area with
Underwriters Laboratory approvd fire dampers .
The thermostat switching machanism for the unit is Located out�
side of the hazardous area. On1y a shielded non-eLectrical sensing
bulb is Located in this area.

The heating plan for the entrance way is two infra-red 1ay in
heaters , each 277v. 3200w. These were submitted with the Electrical
pLans .
