After a very successful 2004 market season, the committee requests permission to use the City Hall parking lot for the 2005 season. The season would start on June 4 and continue through October 29 for the hours of 6:30 a.m. until 1 :00 p.m. A few brief and informative facts. This was our most successful season thus far, with thirty-nine paid vendors. An average of twenty were present most Saturdays with a mix of produce, plants, bakery and crafts. Spaces were rented at a reasonable rate, lower than the surrounding community markets. The location received positive comments for ease of parking, handicap accessibility, restroom availability, storage and electrical hook-up. A wide variety of activities took place on most Saturdays; live music, fitness testing, health and garden information and childrens' days as well as a monthly market basket drawing. The most common customer comment was a request for a greater variety of vendors. We appreciate your consideration of our request and thank you for your past support.
