Dear Members of the Common Council,
I am writing to express my interest in serving on the city of Oshkosh Common Council. Born and
raised in Oshkosh, I take great pride in this community and its continued growth. As an
executive with Alexander & Bishop Real Estate Capital Markets, a family owned and locally
based real estate development company, I have dedicated my career to strengthening
Wisconsin communities through responsible development, fiscal accountability, and
collaborative problem-solving. My service on the Downtown Oshkosh, Inc. board of directors
reflects my deep commitment to advancing our city’s long-term vitality and ensuring that
Oshkosh remains a thriving, welcoming place for residents and businesses alike.
Over the past twelve years at Alexander & Bishop, I have led complex redevelopment projects
that balance economic progress with community values. This experience has given me a
practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing municipalities — from
managing growth responsibly to supporting local businesses and ensuring access to quality
attainable housing. I believe this background equips me to contribute thoughtfully to the
Council’s work on behalf of Oshkosh residents.
Beyond my professional background, I value civic engagement and collaboration. Whether
mentoring students as a former high school lacrosse coach or working alongside local business
owners and civic leaders, I strive to listen carefully, lead with integrity, and build consensus
around shared goals. As a Council Member, I would bring a steady, solutions-oriented approach
focused on fiscal stewardship, economic opportunity, and community well-being.
Thank you for considering my application. It would be an honor to serve on the Oshkosh
Common Council and contribute to the city’s continued success. I welcome the opportunity to
discuss how my experience and commitment can support our shared vision for a vibrant,
inclusive, and forward-looking Oshkosh.
Respectfully,
Logan Jungbacker
