It is the opinion of this office that the assessments are, in fact, reasonable. The

1 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY SANITARY LATERAL LOCATIONS AND SHALL
DETERMINE WHICH LATERALS ARE LIVE AND NEED TO
BE RECONNECTED. THE ENGINEER WILL ASSIST THE CONTRACTOR IN

VALVES LOCATED IN THE NEW SIDEWALK AND PAVEMENT. THE CONTRACTOR WILL
BE ABLE TO OBTAIN THESE BOXES FROM THE CITY WATER DISTRIBUTION AT
757. W 3RD AVE. THE COST OF INSTALLING THESE BOXES SHALL BE INCLUDED

5 THE ENGINEER SHALL EXAMINE ALL EXISTING CASTINGS. ALL MANHOLE AND INLET
CASTING NOT SUITABLE FOR REUSE WILL BE REPLACED BY THE CITY OF OSHKOSH.
6 ALL CATCH BASINS, MANHOLES AND INLETS TO BE ABANDONED SHALL BE
BACKFILLED WITH GRANULAR BACKFILL.
7 ALL CASTINGS FROM ABANDONED MANHOLES AND INLETS SHALL BECOME
THE PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH. THE CONTRACTOR MUST HALL ALL
SALVAGED CASTINGS TO THE CITY YARD ON FERNAU STREET, UNLESS NOTED
OTHERWISE.
