1. City Council Member (Former)
2. Board Of Zoning Appeals (Former)
3. Plan Commision (Current)
4. Redevelopment Authority (Current)
I wish to serve on city council because I believe in the power of local leadership to make meaningful
changes. I am committed to proactive, progressive and non-partisan leadership that reflects local
values and prioritizes fiscal responsibility. My goal is to continue the current culture where
collaboration, transparency, and community-driven solutions lead the way.
Greetings!
I am writing to express my genuine interest in the vacant seat on the Oshkosh City Council. As some
of you may remember, I previously applied for the Mayor Mugerauer vacancy in 2023 but was unable
to attend the in-person meeting. I am now seeking your approval and appointment again on
November 25, 2025, to fill the position vacated by Kris Larson.
Having lived in Oshkosh my entire life, I graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 1989 and, after spending six
years away, chose to return for the quality of life and community I value. Within a decade, I began
serving on the City Council and have since contributed as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals,
the Plan Commission (where I currently serve), and the Redevelopment Authority (also a current
member). My dedication to Oshkosh has remained steadfast since my return in 1996.
With over 23 years in banking, I bring strong financial expertise, leading a team that manages billions
of dollars. This background is especially valuable when navigating a $236M operating budget. I am
prepared to support the council’s ongoing efforts to maintain a flat tax levy and reduce the tax-rate
giving commendations to both city staff and council members for this achievement.
I am seeking this appointment not because I believe the city is headed in the wrong direction, but
because I am inspired by Oshkosh’s thoughtful and progressive growth. From vibrant murals to
major decisions about land purchases and service delivery, I am committed to helping the city
provide high-quality, efficient services while meeting the needs of our expanding population.
If my education, professional banking experience, service mindset, and more than 30 years of
commitment to Oshkosh align with your expectations, I respectfully ask for your consideration and
approval of my application.
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you on November 25.
