HomeMy WebLinkAboutFINAL POLICE & FIRE MINUTES 6.03.25 AMENDEDDATED: 6/10/2025 MINUTES MINUTES Oshkosh Board of Police and Fire Commission June 3, 2025 A meeting of the Police and Fire Commission was held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Room 406 of City Hall. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. ROLL CALL: Present: Schorse, Jones, Montgomery, Boettcher, Excused/Absent: Wrage PFC Secretary, Michelle Behnke, asked if there were any additions or corrections to the May 20, 2025 Meeting Minutes of the Police and Fire Commission. Commissioner Boettcher made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to approve the minutes as presented. Motion Carried 4-0. New Business: Commissioner Schorse nominated Commissioner Jones as Chair of the Police and Fire Commission. No further nominations were made. Commissioner Montgomery made a motion to close the nominations and elect Commissioner Jones as Chair, seconded by Commissioner Boettcher. Motion Carried 4-0. Commissioner Schorse nominated Commissioner Montgomery as Vice-Chair of the Police and Fire Commission. Commissioner Boettcher nominated Commissioner Schorse. No further nominations were made. Commissioner Jones made a motion to close the nominations, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery. A roll call vote was taken on the motion. The result was as follows: • Commissioner Jones: Montgomery • Commissioner Schorse: Montgomery • Commissioner Montgomery: Montgomery • Commissioner Boettcher: Schorse Declaration of Commissioner Montgomery as Vice-Chair. Commissioner Boettcher made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Schorse to retire the current Fire Captain Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0. DATED: 6/10/2025 Commissioner Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Boettcher to approve the new Fire Captain Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0. Commissioner Boettcher made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Schorse to appoint Christopher Wedell to the position of Chief Officer effective June 15, 2025. Motion Carried 4-0. There being no further business, Commissioner Montgomery made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Boettcher. Motion carried 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 3:20 P.M.
