HomeMy WebLinkAbout06.20.25 Newsletter : TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council FROM: Rebecca Grill, City Manager DATE: June 20, 2025 RE: Weekly Newsletter 1. “HOME” BASE: On June 1, 2025, the Oshkosh Police Department officially opened the homeless outreach center at 101 Algoma Blvd, which has been officially named HOME Base, for Homeless Outreach Mental Empowerment. We have moved our Behavioral Health Team to HOME Base, along with the sergeant managing the efforts to help the homeless population here in Oshkosh. They have already seen success with members of our community visiting our officers, business members stopping in and thanking the officers for being there. This is the beginning of a concerted effort to begin to affect change for the good for those in need here in the City of Oshkosh. 2.
