Oshkosh Board of Police and Fire Commission
February 4th, 2025
A meeting of the Police and Fire Commission was held on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at
3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Room 406 of City Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Montgomery, Boettcher, Jones, Wrage
Excused/Absent: Schorse
PFC Secretary, Michelle Behnke, asked if there were any additions or corrections to the
January 7th, 2025 Meeting Minutes of the Police and Fire Commission. Commissioner
Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Boettcher, to approve the
minutes as presented. Motion Carried 4-0.
PFC Secretary, Michelle Behnke, asked if there were any additions or corrections to the
January 21st, 2025 Meeting Minutes of the Police and Fire Commission. Commissioner Wrage
made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to approve the minutes as
presented. Motion Carried 4-0.
New Business:
Commissioner Boettcher made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery to the
appointment of Brett Mildbrand to the position of Firefighter effective February 10th, 2025.
Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Wrage made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Boettcher to the
appointment of Brian Schuldes to the position of Assistant Chief effective February 10th, 2025.
Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Wrage made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery to the
appointment of Andrew Lecker to the position of Captain effective February 10th, 2025. Motion
Carried 4-0.

Commissioner Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Boettcher to the
appointment of Brett Robertson to the position of Lieutenant effective February 10th, 2025.
Motion Carried 4-0.
PFC Secretary Michelle Behnke led the discussion concerning the forthcoming steps in the
recruitment process for the Fire Chief position. She provided an update on the current status of
position advertisement, the selection of potential panel candidates, and the change in venue for
the interviews.
There being no further business, Commissioner Montgomery made the motion to adjourn,
seconded by Commissioner Boettcher. Motion carried 4-0.
Meeting adjourned at 3:23 P.M.
