Storage 126, C-Store 127, and Kitchen / Prep 128 have been reviewed per this occupancy hazard classification. The
designer shall verify this occupancy classification is appropriate for these spaces.
· NFPA 13 (2013) 8.6.5.1.2 Sprinklers shall be arranged to comply with one of the following arrangements:
(1) Subsection 8.5.5.2, Table 8.6.5.1.2, and Figure 8.6.5.1.2(a) shall be followed.
The designer shall verify this section is met at the square ceiling feature at the entrance to Dining 127A and at the
drywall soffit shown at this room.
· NFPA 13 (2013) 9.2.1.3.3.1 Listed flexible sprinkler hose fittings and their anchoring components intended for use in
installations connecting the sprinkler system piping to sprinklers shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of
the listing, including any installation instructions.
Per the UL listing, the 48” Vicflex AH2 flexible drops are rated to 175 psi. The automatic fire sprinkler system will be
subjected to pressures beyond 175 psi at the altered area. However, the flex drops are also 200 psi rated when listed per
FM. Therefore, the flex drops shall be installed with a maximum of 3 – 7” radius bends per the FM listing criteria.
· NFPA 13 (2013) 23.4.4.1 For all systems the design area shall be the hydraulically most demanding based on the criteria

NFPA 13 sections 23.4.4.1.1.4 / 23.4.4.1.1.5. If more demanding, provide this updated hydraulic demand to the owner
and include it on the hydraulic placard at the system riser.
· SPS 361.31 - These plans were conditionally approved electronically. The designer is responsible to download the plans,
print out complete sets and permanently bind each set of the conditionally approved electronic plans, along with a complete
bound set of specifications, as submitted to the Dept., for reference in the field. Plans for field reference shall be the same size
and scale as originally submitted to the Dept. per SPS 361.31(2)(a), and per SPS 361.31(2)(d) shall be clear and legible. A
complete bound conditionally approved set of plans and set of specifications shall be made available to a Dept. representative
on-site upon request. There shall be an electronic stamp and signature on the index page of the conditionally approved plans
by the Dept. representative that conditionally approved the plans, as well as the professional of the project if the building is
over 50,000 cubic ft. Additionally, a copy of the conditional approval letter issued by the Dept. shall be permanently attached
to each of the conditionally approved plan sets.
· SPS 361.31(2)(e) - Provide additional calculations or information to substantiate that the submitted plans conform to code and
department policies.
In the future, plans submitted for review shall be provided with the following in eSLA:
· If a previous building plan review was conducted, it is imperative that the previous DIS# or CB# and accurate site
