If you have any questions, please contact Public Works Field Operations Manager Ryan Lemke or Public Works Sanitation Manager Eric Moran. 2. COMMUNITY SURVEY COMPLETE: Each year, the City of Oshkosh administers a community survey to engage with the public and gather feedback on city services and initiatives. Staff from Media Services work with our community engagement partner, Polco, to develop, distribute, gather results, and then report findings using a tool called the National Community Survey (NCS). A random portion of the community is mailed paper surveys by Polco, and the online survey is available to anyone who resides in the city. The 2024 NCS is now complete, and the survey report is available on the City’s website. In addition to the report document, Polco has developed a dashboard where survey results can be viewed. This includes results of the survey, as well as benchmark data to show how Oshkosh compares to other communities that administer the NCS, both nationally and with a group of regional benchmark cities that meet certain criteria (i.e. population and median income). Visit our website for links to view a PDF file of the 2024 NCS report or to access the report’s interactive dashboard. The City of Oshkosh values engagement and interaction with its residents and the community survey results are used to inform decision making. The survey also influences discussions held when staff, the Common Council, and city stakeholders are developing the City’s strategic plan. For more information about the community survey, contact Media Services Coordinator Jake Timm at 920-236-5261. 3. TRICK-OR-TREAT HOURS FOR 2024: The City of Oshkosh has a long-standing tradition of holding Halloween trick-or-treat hours on the holiday itself, October 31st.
