HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-271 AUGUST 10, 2004 04-271 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7 -0 LOST AS AMENDED LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PURPOSE: GRANT CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT /640 NORTH MAIN STREET INITIATED BY: ANDRE BIESINGER, OWNER PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Found to be consistent with Section 30-11 (D) and approved BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that a conditional use permit is hereby granted under Section 30-11 of the Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance for automobile sales, per the attached, with the following conditions: 1 ) 2) The conditional use permit be valid for a period of two years from its date of approval by the Common Council. Parking or temporary vehicle storage is prohibited outside designated parking spaces. The southern most driveway approach on the 640 N. Main Street property is to be eliminated in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Public Works. Driveway approach is to be eliminated within ~ 240 days of conditional use permit approval. Parking of vehicles for service or sales related uses are prohibited from utilizing the public street. Outside storage of parts, tires, fluids, and other automobile service related items shall be placed within the designated enclosure area only. Storage of junked vehicles and vehicles not in an active state of repair IS prohibited. Final landscaping and fencing is to be approved by the Planning Services Division. The two vacant lots to the north shall be combined into a single lot before a building permit is issued for parking lot construction. Vehicles parked in designated parking areas shall be in an active state of repair and shall not be placed on vehicle supports such as jacks, stands, or blocks. Servicing of vehicles is prohibited in areas outside of service bays within the principal structure. Vehicles displayed for sale shall be immediately operable on the public street with required registration and title.
