Reach Beyond Diversity:Embracing Equity and Inclusion (Reach Beyond)will foster a socially
transformed community of leaders that celebrate and honor cultural differences.This invaluable
program will address unmet needs within our community to improve experiences for minority,
historically marginalized,and disproportionately disadvantaged communities.
The proposed program aims to empower mental and behavioral health providers in creating
inclusive environments,promoting cultural competency,and providing services that are
culturally responsive.The program will offer both one-time sessions and multi-session options to
accommodate various organizational needs,emphasizing in-person,hybrid,and virtual formats
for maximum accessibility.Reach’s website will also serve as a virtual hub for the Reach
Beyond Program.The platform will feature resources,event calendars,and interactive tools,
providing a centralized space for virtual engagement.The program will provide digital resources,
including educational materials,guides,and toolkits,accessible through the website.We will
ensure that these resources are easily navigable and available for download or online viewing.
Some examples of single and multi-session educational opportunities include:
DEI 101:Foundations of Diversity,Equity,and Inclusion
●Single Session:A comprehensive introduction to DEI principles,terminology,and
the importance of fostering an inclusive workplace and service delivery.
Cultural Competency in the Workplace
●Multi-Session Option:In-depth training sessions focused on understanding
different cultures,communication styles,and creating an inclusive workplace
culture.Topics include addressing unconscious bias,promoting equity,and
building cross-cultural teams.
Providing Culturally Responsive Services
●Multi-Session Option:Tailored sessions for non-profit professionals to enhance
their ability to provide culturally responsive services to diverse and marginalized
communities.This includes understanding community needs,adapting services,
and building trust.
Recognizing and Addressing Microaggressions
●Single Session:Training on identifying and addressing microaggressions in the
workplace to create a more respectful and inclusive environment.
Interrupting Anti-Blackness
●Single Session:A focused session on recognizing and dismantling anti-Black
biases,promoting allyship,and creating an environment that supports Black
individuals within the organization.
Inclusive Leadership Development
●Multi-Session Option:Leadership-focused sessions aimed at developing
inclusive leadership skills.Topics include fostering diversity,equity,and inclusion
within teams,addressing systemic issues,and creating an inclusive
organizational culture.

●Hybrid Options:Combining in-person and virtual elements for flexibility,allowing
participants to engage based on their preferences and constraints.

discussions with a diverse group of community members).

●Curriculum Materials:Comprehensive guides,handouts,and resources tailored to each
session.
●Technology Infrastructure:Required for virtual and hybrid sessions,including video
conferencing tools,online platforms,and interactive elements.
●Assessment Tools:Pre-and post-program evaluations to measure knowledge gained
and assess the impact of the program on organizational culture.
●Customization Options:Flexibility in tailoring the program to specific organizational
needs and challenges.
