response, and grief support for
surviving family members and
friends in Winnebago County and
surrounding communities. CFH
conducts advocacy work, trainings,
and hosts support groups for those
impacted by suicide.

CFH Hope volunteers lead free QPR (Question,Persuade, Refer) and Adult Mental Health FirstAid Training to all community members,offering practical and proven suicideprevention resources and tools to help removehesitation from starting conversations aboutmental health.
CFH volunteers regularly engage in PublicSpeaking throughout the community includingAdvocacy Events and the distribution ofEducational Materials. To request a CFHvolunteer speak to your organization orcommunity group, please contactcommunityforhopeoshkosh@gmail.com
Survivors of Suicide Loss (S.O.S.L.) groups aresponsored by CFH and are extremely valuablespaces for family members, friends, andcoworkers of those who have died by suicide.The groups are free, do not require registration,and are led by trained facilitators. Groupmembers gather to talk and listen openly andhonestly about suicide with the goal ofproviding better understanding andacceptance for the lives impacted by suicide.CFH volunteers also gather to put together anddistribute Hope and Comfort packages tofamilies affected by suicide.
