help serve the Hmong/Asian communities in Oshkosh, WI as well as in all of Winnebago
County. Our mission is to promote and preserve cultural identity, opportunities, services, and
partnerships for the Hmong/Asian community.
We are asking for your support to help fund $40,000 for the following existing programs so we
can provide the necessary materials, secure a rental office and studio for the Hmong/Asian
individuals to continue their cultural learning, and provide scholarships to Hmong/Asian students
to help with their college tuition. The Hmong/Asian community will greatly benefit from these
funds and will help assist the community as a whole when such service is required. As each
student graduates from such a class, their cultural education will be utilized to maintain
traditional Hmong weddings and Hmong funeral services for generations to come.
● $20,000 for the Annual Hmong New Celebration: An annual community Hmong New
Year celebration takes place in the fall where the Hmong honors their ancestors and
gives thanks for the completion of the harvest. People would dress in traditional clothing
and enjoy Hmong traditional foods, dance, music, and other forms of entertainment. This
also allows the community to celebrate the ethnic traditions and culture, and also
educate those who have an interest in the Hmong culture and tradition.

The President of the AAA will be responsible for overseeing all programs. The Treasury and
Secretary will distribute funding to ensure all funds are appropriately allocated and utilized for
their intended purpose. The Treasury and Secretary will record and maintain all records to
ensure all programs are fully funded and run efficiently. All Board Members are responsible for
monitoring all funds transactions and investigating and disciplining any misuse of funds.
If the grant request is not fully funded, we will plan to host fundraising events, ask for donations
from the community, and volunteer for businesses/organizations to gain funds.
The Hmong culture, tradition, and language is slowly diminishing as each new generation
adapts to the modern culture. Each year, the community volunteers their time to teach the
younger generations to learn about their culture and history to maintain our traditions for the
next generations. With this funding, we will be able to fund all programs and provide service for
free for all students and the community by the end of the year 2024.
