A. Minutes of the March 13, 2024, Board Meeting
MOTION: Approve Consent Agenda (Matzke; second Brown)
CARRIED: Yes (6) Brown, Matzke, Mueske, Olson, Redlin, Stevenson
Chair Redlin requested the Assistant Director’s Report.
Assistant Director Anna Cannizzo began with a building construction update. Council approved a
contract with Cardinal Construction at the March 26th meeting. A construction meeting was then
held last week to plan out details and determine a preliminary timeline. Completion may be as
early as the end of summer. Ms. Cannizzo noted that when the gallery is complete, because the
date is very uncertain, staff have decided that a Mears encore exhibition will be planned. The
Helen Farnsworth Mears: A Genius of Wisconsin exhibit won state recognition and many people
commented they wished to see it. This will allow for a soft opening of the gallery. Then in 2025
the exhibition Tiffany’s Gardens in Glass will be held July 19, 2025 – January 3, 2026. The
