PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: DISPOSITION OF OBSOLETE BUILDING PERMIT RECORDS CITY ADMINISTRATION A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN OBSOLETE INSPECTION SERVICES DIVISION RECORDS The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 19.23(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the proper City officials are directed and authorized to offer title and to transfer custody to the State Historical Society the following obsolete records and materials of the City of Oshkosh: All permit applications, correspondence, correction notices, inspection records, plan reviews and any other documents prepared, dated, accumulated or filed within the Division of Inspection Services' Property File System that has reached an age of seven (7) years. SECTION 2. In the event the State Historical Society declines custody and transfer of the foregoing, the proper City officials are authorized and directed to discard said materials. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
