AWARD BID FOR FIBER OPTIC NETWORK MATERIALS
PURCHASING DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has heretofore advertised for bids for fiber optic
network materials for the joint construction of a fiber optic network with the Oshkosh Area
School District; and
WHEREAS, upon the opening and tabulation of bids, it appears that the following
is the most advantageous bid:
GRAYBAR ELECTRIC CO.
610 Lombardi Avenue
Green Bay, WI 54304
Total for City's portion
$9,993.75
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the said bid is hereby accepted and the proper City officials are hereby
authorized and directed to enter into an appropriate agreement for the purpose of same,
all according to plans, specifications, and bid on file. Money for this purpose is hereby
appropriated from:

Dear Don,
I have reviewed all the Fiber Optic Network Material bids that were received by the City Clerk's office
prior to 10:30AM on May 13th, 2004. To recap the bidding process, vendors were asked to submit prices for
select quantities of fiber optic materials. Award of this contract will be made to the qualified vendor who
presents the lowest overall total price. Partial awards will not be made. I have created the following Result
Analysis Table to assist you in selecting the most qualified lowest overall bidder:

Based on all the information received it is my recommendation to the City of Oshkosh/Oshkosh Area
School District that award of this Bid should go to the lowest qualified bidder, Graybar Electric Co. 610
Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54304 for the amount of $32,500.00. Of the total $32,500.00, The
City of Oshkosh will be responsible for $9,993.75, while the Oshkosh Area School District will be responsible
for $22,506.25.
