PURPOSE:
APPROVE AND EXECUTE RELOCATION ORDERS;
DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY;
AUTHORIZE ACQUISITION; ACCEPT EASEMENTS; DEDICATE
STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY/STH 110 (ALGOMA BOULEVARD),
MURDOCK AVENUE TO ROOSEVELT AVENUE
INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Oshkosh to
acquire certain land for right-of-way purposes and to obtain temporary and permanent
easements to improve traffic and pedestrian safety on Algoma Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council previously approved entering into an
agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) for the
reconstruction of Algoma Boulevard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the attached Relocation Order for Algoma Boulevard., from Murdock
Avenue to Roosevelt Avenue, is approved and the proper City officials are authorized
and directed to execute the Order for acquisition of property, including easements and
access rights, pursuant to authority granted under Sections 32.05, 32.06, 32.07 and
62.22, Wisconsin Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council certifies it is necessary
for the City to acquire portions of certain properties, as noted on the attached maps, and
temporary and permanent easements, as may be required for said project to be
implemented.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby accepts temporary and
permanent easements, as noted on the attached maps, for said project to be
implemented.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby dedicates for street right-of-
way purposes those portions of land acquired for said purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to execute any and all documents necessary for purposes of same.
