HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-266.docJULY 23, 2002 02-266 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 6-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PURPOSE: DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY PURPOSESAN. PACKER AVENUE EXTENSION INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Approved WHEREAS, the City Administration has determined it is in the best interests of the City of Oshkosh to acquire certain land for right-of-way purposes for the extension of W. Packer Avenue; and WHEREAS, the completion of said project requires the acquisition of the property described as: A part of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 11, Township 18 North, Range 16 East, 12th Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin described as follows: Commencing at the NE corner of said Section 11; thence S. 01°37'58" E., 1,320.87 feet along the east line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11 to the south line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11; thence S. 88°45'06'' W., 1,268.64 feet along the south line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11 to the true point of beginning; thence N. 01°21'10'' W., 40.00 feet; thence S. 88°45'06'' W., 50.08 feet to the west line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11; thence S. 01°21'29" E., 40.00 feet along the west line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11 to the south line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11; thence N. 88°45'06'' E., 50.08 feet along the south line of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of said Section 11 to the true point of beginning. Said parcel contains approximately 2,003 square feet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies it is necessary for the City to acquire the property described above in order for said purpose to be accomplished. It is further determined by the Common Council that acquisition of the above described property, as shown on the attached map, is hereby determined necessary pursuant to the provisions of Section 32.07 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
