PURPOSE:
AMEND HEALTH DEPARTMENT FEES
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINSTRATION
A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING OSHKOSH
MUNICIPAL CODE REPEALING AND RECREATING SECTION 14-11 PERMIT FEE
SCHEDULE; AMENDING SECTIONS 14-12, 14-13 PERTAINING TO LATE FEES AND
RE-INSPECTION LANGUAGE FOR FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS; AMENDING SECTION
29-28 LATE FEES FOR WEIGHTS AND MEASURES CODE; AND AMENDING SECTION
6-19 LICENSE FEES FOR PET STORES/COMMERCIAL KENNELS
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 14-11 City of Oshkosh Health Services Division Permit
Fee Schedule is hereby repealed and recreated to read as follows: See ExhibitA.
SECTION 2. That Sections 14-12 and 14-13 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code
pertaining to an increase in the late fees and amending the language for reinspection fee
relating to Food Establishments is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 14-12 LATE FEES
The license year commences on July 1 and licenses shall expire on June 30th of
the following year. If the annual fee has not been paid, as of July 1, an additional
fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per establishment shall be required, except
for locally licensed establishments where a Forty Dollar ($40.00) per establishment
shall be required. In addition to any late fee authorized by this section, establish-
ments operating on July 1 without proper license shall be subject to closure by the
Health Director. Failure to comply shall result in the issuance of a uniform citation.
SECTION 14-13 RE-INSPECTION FEE
Establishments are subject to a reinspection fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for all
subsequent reinspections needed to address compliance issues related to the
statutes and administrative codes that govern their operation. The reinspection fee
is payable when the reinspection is completed or is due upon demand from the
Health Services Division.
SECTION 2. That Section 29-28 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to late
fees for weights and measures is hereby amended to increase the late fees as follows:

SECTION 29-28 LATE FEES
The license year shall commence on July 1 and licenses shall expire on June 30th
of the following year. If the annual renewal fee has not been paid as of July 1, an
additional late payment fee of Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00) per establishment shall
be required. In addition to any late fee authorized by this section, establishments
operating on July 1 without proper licenses will be subject to citation.
SECTION 4. That Section 6-19 (A), (B), (C), (D)of Article V. Pet Stores/Commercial
Kennels shall be amended to increase the annual fee in each paragraph from Thirty-five
Dollars ($35.00) to Sixty Dollars ($60.00)
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect for the license year
beginning July 1, 2002.
