HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-95.docMARCH 26, 2002 02-95 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 6-1 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: ESTABLISH FAIR MARKET VALUE;AUTHORIZE PURCHASE/ CHURCH AVENUE- CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILROAD PROPERTY CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the Common Council has previously determined the necessity of acquiring property to implement the previously approved N. Main Street Redevelopment Project Area, as amended; and WHEREAS, a review appraisal has been made on the property to be acquired, which is described below: Vacant Lot, Church Avenue; Canadian Pacific RR (formerly Wisconsin Central Ltd.) That part of Lot 49, Block 43, Leach's Map lying Ely of Ely line of Soo Line RR right-of- way, also that part of Lots 25, 26 & 27, Hennings Plat of Lot 2, lying Ely of Ely line of Soo Line RR right-of-way as described in Lease #10529-A, 7th Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. (tax ID #907-0059-0000) and WHEREAS, the property and interest to be acquired includes land and buildings, if any, exclusive of equipment and fixtures both movable and immovable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies the review appraisal has been performed in a competent manner according to applicable State and Federal laws, policies and requirements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fair market value for said property is hereby established at NINETEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($19,500.00). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to acquire said property and to execute all documents necessary to consummate this transaction. Money for this purpose is appropriated from: Acct. No. 303-0740-7208-15117 CDBG/Central City Development.
