PURPOSE: INCREASE OPERATOR(BARTENDER) AND TAXICAB DRIVER LICENSE FEES INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINSTRATION A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH REPEALING AND RECREATING SECTION 4-18 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO LICENSING OF OPERATORS (BARTENDERS) AND AMENDING SECTION 22-12 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO TAXICAB DRIVER LICENSING The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 4-18 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to the licensing of operators (bartenders) is hereby repealed and recreated to read as follows: SECTION 4-18 FEES AND EXPIRATION FOR OPERATOR'S LICENSE The fee for an operator's initial license shall be Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for a two-year period or fraction thereof. The fee for an operator's renewal license shall be Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for a two-year period or fraction thereof. The fee for a duplicate operator's license shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00). Every operator's license shall expire on the 30th day of June prior to the expiration of the two-year period from the date of issuance. Operator's licenses shall be signed by the City Clerk, and issued after approval thereof by the Common Council. SECTION 2. That Section 22-12 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to the issuance of taxicab drivers licensing shall be repealed and recreated to read as follows: SECTION 22-12 LICENSE TERM; FEES. The fee for a driver's initial license shall be Forty Dollars ($40.00) for a two-year period or fraction thereof. The fee for a driver's renewal license shall be Thirty-five Dollars ($35.00) for a two-year period or fraction thereof. Every driver's license shall expire on the 30th day of June prior to the expiration of the two-year period from date of issuance. Driver's licenses shall be signed by the City Clerk, and issued after the approval thereof by the Common Council. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication for licenses issued on or after January 1, 2002.
