HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-476.docDECEMBER 11, 2001 01-476 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE AMBULANCE RATES INITIATED BY: FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has previously established fees for ambulance service based upon the cost of providing that service; and WHEREAS, previously established rates for the costs of supply items are insufficient to cover all costs requiring an adjustment to the current rates; and WHEREAS, the Oshkosh Fire Department provides several types of services not currently included in the basic fee schedule making it desirable to add new categories to the current fee schedule. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the ambulance fee schedule is amended to read as follows: Basic Life Support- Including Transport Basic Life Support Treatment - No Transport Advanced Life Support- Including Transport Advanced Life Support Treatment - No Transport Non-emergency Inter-Facility Transports Advanced Life Support Inter-Facility Urgent Care Transport Extrication Mileage - (out of city only - applies to all calls) $300.00 $ 65.OO $475.OO $235.OO $2OO.OO $475.OO $100.00 $100.00 $ 5.46/mile BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oshkosh Fire Department Supply Item Rate Schedule be amended to read as follows: Supply Items = Medications = Cost + 100% for items < $7.50 Cost + 50% for items $7.50 - $50.00 Cost + 25% for items > $50.00 Cost + 100% for medications less than $20.00 Cost + 25% for medications > $20.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the revised ambulance fee schedule may be adjusted periodically using the cost of living index annually established from September of each year. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the revised ambulance fee schedule and revised Supply Item Rate Schedule as set forth in this Resolution shall be effective at 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2002.
