HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-480.docORIGINAL RESOLUTION PRESENTED TO COUNCIL - SEE 01-480-A / 01-480-B FOR ACTIONS DECEMBER 11, 2001 01-480 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: APPROVE SALARY STUDY, PAY AND BENEFITS ADJ U STM E NTS/AD M IN I STRATIVE STAFF CITY ADMINISTRATION BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the 2002 bi-weekly compensation schedule and job classification list for the non-represented staff is adjusted to provide for a 3.75% increase, effective pay period #1, 2002. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Non-Represented Staff Classification and Compensation Study, completed by Carlson Dettmann Associates dated October 30, 2001, (on file in the City Clerk's Office) is approved and the proper city officials are authorized and directed to implement the study recommendations. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Chapter 12 Fringe Benefits Personnel Policy Manual for the City of Oshkosh dated May 21, 1987 is amended to authorize employee participation in a Section 125 plan and is further amended to include the following: at section 5 (page 29) Replace "A. Payment" with the following: A. Payment - The City shall pay the 100% of the premium of the State's Group Basic Life Insurance Policy. Other amounts of coverage for the employee, and spousal and dependent coverage shall be available to the employee at his/her own expense. at section 8 (page 32): An employee may apply for sick leave with pay for absences necessitated by injury or illness to the employee. Sick leave may also be used for employee doctor or dental appointments that cannot be scheduled other than during the employee's work day. At least three (3) work days notice shall be required to apply for the leave for doctor or dental appointments which is subject to the approval of the supervisor for scheduling. Up to five (5) days of an employee's sick leave accumulation may be used per year for illness, injury, doctor and dental appointments that cannot be scheduled other than during the employee's work day of the employee's spouse or dependent children. At least three (3) work days notice shall be required to apply for leave for doctor and dental appointments which is subject to the approval of the supervisor for scheduling.
