HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-451.docNOVEMBER 27, 2001 01-451 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 5-2 LOST LAID OVER WITH DRAWN PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY; ESTABLISH FAIR MARKET VALUE; AUTHORIZE PURCHASE/ 460 N. MAIN STREET DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Common Council previously approved the N. Main Street Redevelopment Project Area, as amended, and Modification #3 which incorporated the property at 460 N. Main Street within the boundaries of said redevelopment area; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Oshkosh to acquire said property to implement the previously approved redevelopment plan for the N. Main Street Redevelopment Project Area, as amended; and WHEREAS, a review appraisal has been made on the property to be acquired, which is described below: 460 N. Main Street; Louis Thoma Estate All of Lots 29 & 14, Block 40, Leachs Map, 4th Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. (tax ID #904-0094-0000) and WHEREAS, the property and interest to be acquired includes land and buildings, if any, exclusive of equipment and fixtures both movable and immovable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies the review appraisal has been performed in a competent manner according to applicable State and Federal laws, policies and requirements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fair market value for 460 N. Main Street is hereby established at NINETY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($90,000.00). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to acquire said property and to execute all documents necessary to consummate this transaction. Money for this purpose is appropriated from: Acct. No. 303-0740-7208-15117 Central City Redevelopment/CDBG.
