PURPOSE: ESTABLISH FAIR MARKET VALUE; AUTHORIZE PURCHASE/ 411 MARION ROAD & 25 JACKSON STREET INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the Common Council has previously determined the necessity of acquiring property to implement the previously approved Marion Road/Pearl Avenue Redevelopment Project Area, as amended, and WHEREAS, a review appraisal has been made on the property to be acquired, which is described below: 411 Marion Road; Murphy Construction Company, owner All of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Block A, Western Addn., excluding commencing at the NE corner of Lot 8, Block A, thence S 83.1 ft. W 101.3 ft. N 131.4 ft. to Marion Road thence SEly 113.4 ft. to beginning; being part of Lots 7 & 8, reserving a 20 ft. strip for driveway west of the building, 1st Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. (Tax ID #901-0222-0000) 25 Jackson Street; Murphy Construction Company, owner Being a part of Lots 7 & 8, Block A, Western Addn., commencing at the NE corner of Lot 8, Block A, thence S 83.1 ft. W 101.3 ft. N 131.4 ft. to Marion Rd., SEly 113.4 ft. to beginning, 1st Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. (Tax ID #901-0221-0000) and WHEREAS, the property and interest to be acquired includes land and buildings, if any, exclusive of equipment and fixtures both movable and immovable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies the review appraisal has been performed in a competent manner according to applicable State and Federal laws, policies and requirements. OCTOBER 23, 2001 01-419 RESOLUTION CONT'D BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fair market value for 411 MARION ROAD AND 25 JACKSON STREET is hereby established at SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($675,000.00). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to acquire said property and to execute all documents necessary to consummate this transaction. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that money for this purpose is appropriated from: Acct. No. 539-1040-7208-00000 -TIF 13 Marion Road/Pearl Avenue Redevelopment.
