HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-337.docAUGUST 14, 2001 01-337 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: AMEND SPECIAL ASSESSMENT POLICY/COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the City of Oshkosh Policy for Special Assessments Section I.A.4. pertaining to assessments of properties differing in use from the underlying zoning designation be amended as follows: To delete therefrom: Assessments for property owned and used exclusively for residential uses (including churches and schools, or any similarly used tax-exempt property) shall be assessed as residential property, irrespective of zoning. Assessments for property owned and used exclusively for commercial or industrial purposes shall be assessed as commercial or industrial property, irrespective of zoning. To add thereto: Assessments for property owned and used exclusively for residential uses (including churches and schools, or any similarly used tax-exempt property) shall be assessed as residential property, irrespective of zoning. Assessments for property owned and used partially or totally for commer- cial or industrial purposes shall be assessed as commercial or industrial property, irrespective of zoning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment shall be effective for all projects commencing on and after the date of passage of this resolution.
