HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-247.docJUNE 12, 2001 REVISED 01-247 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: APPROVE AND EXECUTE RELOCATION ORDER; DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY; AUTHORIZE ACQUISITIONS; ACCEPT EASEMENTS - KOELLER STREET & W. 20TH AVENUE/SIDEWALKS CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has received a Statewide Multi-Modal Improvement Program (SMIP) grant to improve pedestrian access on Koeller Street and W. 20th Avenue; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Oshkosh to acquire certain land for right-of-way purposes and to obtain temporary and permanent easements to improve pedestrian safety on Koeller Street from W. 9th Avenue to W. South Park Avenue and on W. 20th Avenue from W. South Park Avenue to the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad right-of-way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the attached Relocation Order for Koeller Street and W. 20th Avenue is approved and the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute the Order for acquisition of property, including easements and access rights, pursuant to authority granted under Sections 32.05, 32.06, 32.07 and 62.22, Wisconsin Statutes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council certifies it is necessary for the City to acquire portions of certain properties, as noted on the attached maps, and as may be required for temporary and permanent easements, for said project to be implemented. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby accepts temporary and permanent easements, as noted on the attached maps, for said project to be implemented. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby dedicates for street right-of- way purposes those portions of land acquired for said purpose. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute any and all documents necessary for purposes of same. · Indicates Revision
