PURPOSE:
HICKORY V ANNEXATION
INITIATED BY: JOSEPH KAUFMAN ETAL
PLAN COMMISSION ACTION: Approved
A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH ANNEXING CERTAIN
TERRITORY IN THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AND SPECIFICALLYTO THE 15TH WARD OF
SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, an annexation petition duly circulated has heretofore been signed by
the owners of more than 50% of the land in the area within such territory, and a majority of
the electors residing in said territory, notice of intention to circulate an annexation petition
for direct annexation having been duly published, and a copy of said notice with a scale
map reasonably showing the boundaries of the area sought to be annexed and its relation
to the municipalities involved, having been duly served upon the affected municipal and
school district clerks and the Director of the Municipal Boundary Review of the State of
Wisconsin, Department of Commerce within five (5) days of the date of publication of said
notice, adoption of this Ordinance shall constitute acceptance of the petition of annexation;
and
WHEREAS, more than twenty (20) days have lapsed since the publication of the
notice of intention to circulate such annexation petition and not more than one hundred
twenty (120) days have lapsed since the filing of the annexation petition; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Municipal Boundary Review of the State of
Wisconsin, Department of Commerce has issued his opinion that the annexation is not
contrary to the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Oshkosh has recommended that
said property be temporarily zoned as follows: R-1 Single Family.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as
follows:

SECTION 1. The following described territory, pursuant to a duly circulated and
filed annexation petition for direct annexation is hereby annexed to and made part of the
City of Oshkosh, a municipal corporation located in Winnebago County, more specifically
in the 15th Ward of said City, and subject to all the laws governing the same, all in
accordance with Section 66.021 of the Wisconsin Statutes and the amendments thereto:
As described in the attached "Exhibit A"
SECTION 2. Sections 1-28 and 1-29 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to
Boundaries, Wards, Polls, Benchmarks are hereby amended so as to reflect the provisions
of this Ordinance and the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to make
such changes.
SECTION 3. The proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to comply
with the following requirements of Section 66.021 (8) of the Wisconsin Statutes and the
City Clerk shall give written notice to the appropriate Town Clerk of the acceptance of the
annexation petition and the adoption of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. Said property hereinabove described is hereby temporarily zoned as
follows: R-1 Single Family.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication.

HICKORY V ANNEXATION
A part of the Doemel Plat and the First Addition to Doemel Plat all in the Fractional Section
7, Township 18 North, Range 17 East, Town of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin
described as follows: Commencing at the south ¼ corner of said Section 7; thence N.
89°55'43'' W., 173.68 feet along the south line of the SW ¼ of Section 7-18-17; thence N.
02°10'43'' W., 928.53 feet; thence N. 35°55'17.5'' E., 324.46 feet; thence N. 74°01'18'' E.,
719.88 feet; thence N. 06°24'44'' W., 279.91 feet; thence N. 73°02'00'' E., 344.80 feet;
thence N. 15°23'44'' W., 92.05 feet; thence N. 32°06'29'' W., 200.30 feet along the
northeast lines of Lots 298 - 300 of the Eleventh Addition to North Point Plat to the most
southerly corner of Lot 8 First Addition to Doemel Plat and also being the true point of
beginning; thence N. 57° 46' 07" E., 150.0 feet along the southeasterly line of said Lot 8 to
the northeast corner of said Lot 8 also being a point on the southwesterly line of Hickory
Lane; thence N. 36°30'50'' E., 53.16 feet to the most southerly corner of Lot 35 Doemel
Plat; thence N. 57°53'31" E., 180.38 feet more or less to the shoreline of Lake Winnebago
along the southeasterly line of said Lot 35; thence N. 36°41'41" W., 275.54 feet more or
less along the shoreline of Lake Winnebago to the northwesterly line of Lot 39 Doemel
Plat; thence S. 58°00'54'' W., 158.34 feet along the northwesterly line of said Lot 39 to the
northeasterly line of Hickory Lane; thence S. 32°06'29'' E., 55.0 feet along the
northeasterly line of Hickory Lane to the most southerly corner of said Lot 39; thence S.
38°50'03'' W., 52.37 feet to a point on the southwesterly line of Hickory Lane; thence S.
57°53'31" W., 150.0 feet to a point on the southwesterly line of Lot 11 First Addition to
Doemel Plat; thence S. 32°06'29'' E., 222.60 feet along the southwesterly lines of Lots 11,
10 and 8 First Addition to Doemel Plat to the true point of beginning. Said parcel contains
approximately 2.09 acres.
