PURPOSE:
APPROVE AND EXECUTE RELOCATION ORDERS;
DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY;
ACCEPT EASEMENTS; DEDICATE STREET RIGHT-OF-
WAY/ALGOMA BOULEVARD AND HIGH AVENUE
INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Oshkosh to
acquire certain land for right-of-way purposes and to obtain temporary and permanent
easements to improve traffic and pedestrian safety on Algoma Boulevard and High
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council previously approved entering into an
agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) for the
reconstruction of Algoma Boulevard, from Jackson Street to Division Street, and High
Avenue, from Jackson Street to Market Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the attached Relocation Orders for Algoma Boulevard, from Jackson
Street to Division Street and High Avenue, from Jackson Street to Market Street, are
approved and the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute the Orders
for acquisition of property, including easements and access rights, pursuant to authority
granted under Sections 32.05, 32.06, 32.07 and 62.22, Wisconsin Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council certifies it is necessary
for the City to acquire portions of certain properties, as noted on the attached maps, and
temporary and permanent easements, as may be required for said project to be
implemented.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby accepts temporary and
permanent easements, as noted on the attached maps, for said project to be
implemented.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby dedicates for street right-of-
way purposes those portions of land acquired for said purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to execute any and all documents necessary for purposes of same.
