HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-414-B.docSEPTEMBER 26, 2000 00-414B RESOLUTION (CARRIED 4-0-1 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH OSHKOSH COMMUNITY FOUNDATION TO PARTICIPATE IN ADMINISTRATION OF 2001 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PUBLIC SERVICE FUNDING INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Approved WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has received a proposal from the Oshkosh Area United Way and the Oshkosh Community Foundation to continue to coordinate the distribution of the public service portion of the City[]s 2001 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program through the Community Human Services Committee created for this purpose, as well as for administration funds for administering said public service funding; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee has approved of said request. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the attached agreement with the Oshkosh Community Foundation to participate in conjunction with the Oshkosh Area United Way in administering the public service funds to be allocated through the City of Oshkosh 2001 Community Development Block Grant Program is hereby approved, based upon the inclusion of said public service funds in the City of Oshkosh 2001 Action Plan, and contingent upon final approval by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development of the projected funds and proposed project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute and deliver the agreement in substantially the same form as attached hereto, any changes in the execution copy being deemed approved by their respective signatures, and said City officials are authorized and directed to take those steps necessary to implement the terms and conditions of the Agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to file and execute the necessary documents and assurances required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and any and all additional information required.
