HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-262.docJUNE 27, 2000 00-262 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7-0 LOST AS AMENDED LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: GRANT CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS; APPROVE FINAL PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS: (A) SE CORNER WESTOWNE AVENUE & N WESTHAVEN DRIVE (B) SW CORNER WAUKAU AVENUE & S WASHBURN STREET INITIATED BY: (A) WESTOWNE CENTER LLC (B) BRIAN WOGERNESE, PETITIONER PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Both approved w/conditions BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that conditional use permits are hereby granted for the following properties under Section 30-11 of the Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance, and that said permits are granted with conditions, if any, as noted for each respective property, and the Planned District Overlay and final development plans, per the attached exhibits, are hereby approved. A) CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT; FINAL PLANNED DEVELOPMENT - SW corner Westowne Avenue and N. The middle driveway on Westowne Avenue be eliminated. All facade plans for future development on the site shall be submitted to the Department of Community Development for review and approval. The driveways be flared for adequate semi ingress and egress. A revised landscape plan, to include greater intensity, be submitted to, and approved by, the Department of Community Development. At the time of planting the overstory deciduous trees proposed in the landscape plan be at least 3 ½" in diameter, the clump trees be at least 8 ft. high, the coniferous trees be at least 8 ft. high, and the understory flowering trees be at least 2 ½" in diameter. Westhaven Drive (CONT'D) 6) 7) A cross access agreement, which limits the number and location of internal points of ingress and egress between parcels, as shown on the submitted site plan, and limits the number and location of driveways from the proposed site to public streets, be approved by the City and filed with the Register of Deeds Office. No additional ground signs be allowed on the site unless the development plan is revised and approved by the City. B) CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT; FINAL PLANNED DEVELOPMENT - SW Corner Waukau Avenue and S. Washburn Street A conditional use permit for a planned commercial development for construction of a 77 unit motel with a 7,000 sq. ft. banquet center, per the attached "Exhibit B", with the following conditions: 2) 3) A revised landscape plan be submitted to, and approved by, the Department of Community Development. At the time of planting, the overstory deciduous trees proposed shall be at least 3 ½" in diameter, the clump trees be at least 10 ft. high, the coniferous trees be at least 8 ft. high, and the understory flowering trees be at least 2 ½" in diameter. Additional windows, painted designs or architectural features be added to the larger exterior wall at the east end of the north wing of the project, with said plan being approved by the Department of Community Development. No additional signs are permitted on site unless the development plan is revised and approved by the City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh hereby approves of the Planned District Overlays for the properties noted above.
