HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-260.docJUNE 13, 2000 00-260 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: COMMENCE REZONING PROCESS/ALGOMA BOULEVARD EAST TO SHERIDAN STREET/STATE HIGHWAY 21 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT INITIATED BY: COUNCIL MEMBER HARRIS WHEREAS, the Common Council has approved the reconstruction of Algoma Boulevard, also known as State Highway 21, between Congress Avenue and West Murdock Avenue; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to preserve the residential character of this neighborhood; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to begin the zoning code amendment process to rezone the parcels fronting Algoma Boulevard, generally between Bent Avenue and West Murdock Avenues, and east to Sheridan Street from their current classification to R-lC Single Family Central Residence. (This area is intended to include the parcels on the west side of Sheridan Street between Bent and Murdock Avenues and the parcels presently zoned R-3 on the west side of Algoma Boulevard immediately south of Arboretum Drive. This is intended to exclude the current C-1 zoned parcels on the east and west sides of Algoma Boulevard immediately south of Murdock Avenue.)
