PURPOSE:
APPROVE AND EXECUTE REVISED RELOCATION ORDER;
DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY;
ACCEPT EASEMENTS/JACKSON STREET RECONSTRUCTION,
ALGOMA BOULEVARD TO W. NEW YORK AVENUE
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, the Common Council previously determined the necessity of
acquiring certain land for right-of-way purposes and obtaining temporary and permanent
easements to improve traffic and pedestrian safety on Jackson Street, from Algoma
Boulevard. to W. Murdock Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council previously approved entering into an
agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) for the
reconstruction of Jackson Street from Algoma Boulevard. to W. Murdock Avenue; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to these

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the attached Revised Relocation Order for Jackson Street, from Algoma
Boulevard. to W. New York Avenue, is approved and the proper City officials are
authorized and directed to execute the revised Order for acquisition of property,
including easements and access rights, pursuant to authority granted under Sections
32.05, 32.06, 32.07 and 62.22, Wisconsin Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council certifies it is necessary
for the City to acquire portions of certain properties, as noted on the attached maps, and
as may be required for temporary and permanent easements, for said project to be
implemented.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby accepts temporary and
permanent easements, as noted on the attached maps, for said project to be
implemented.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby dedicates for street right-of-
way purposes those portions of land acquired for said purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to execute any and all documents necessary for purposes of same and to
enter into appropriate agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to
implement said revised reconstruction project.
