PURPOSE:
AUTHORIZE PARTICIPATION IN WISCONSIN HOME
RENTAL REHAB PROGRAM
INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the need to rehabilitate substandard rental units in the City of Oshkosh
exists; and
WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh desires to continue to participate in the Wisconsin
HOME Rental Rehabilitation Program (HRRP) and administer it in accordance with all
applicable State and Federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, in order to participate in said program it is necessary for the City of
Oshkosh to file an application, signed by the City Manager, with the State of Wisconsin;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh encourages the Oshkosh/Winnebago Housing
Authority to provide rent assistance resources that may be available to the program
through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to file and
execute the necessary documents and assurances required by the State of Wisconsin and
any and all additional information required. Said program to be administered by the
Department of Community Development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into appropriate agreements with the Oshkosh Housing Authority to
carry out said program.
