HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-188.docMAY 9, 2000 00-188 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: ESTABLISH FAIR MARKET VALUE; AUTHORIZE PURCHASE/ 469 PEARL AVENUE CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh has previously determined the necessity of acquiring property to improve traffic safety at the proposed Warren Road and Pearl Avenue intersection; and WHEREAS, the Common Council previously approved the Marion Road/Pearl Avenue Redevelopment Project Area, as amended, and WHEREAS, a review appraisal has been made on the property to be acquired, which is described below: 469 PEARL AVENUE; Roy Jorgensen, owner Lot 6, Block G, Western Add., 1st Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. (Tax ID #901-0255-0000) and WHEREAS, the property and interest to be acquired includes land and buildings, if any, exclusive of equipment and fixtures both movable and immovable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies the review appraisal has been performed in a competent manner according to applicable State and Federal laws, policies and requirements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fair market value for 469 PEARL AVENUE, described above, is hereby established at SIXTY-EIGHT THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($68,800.00). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to acquire said property and execute all documents necessary to consummate this transaction. Money for this purpose is appropriated from: Acct. No. 539-1040-7208-00000 - TIF #13 Marion Road/Pearl Avenue Redevelopment Project Area.
