HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-428SEPTEMBER 23, 2003 FIRST READING OCTOBER 14, 2003 03-404 SECOND READING 03-428 ORDINANCE (CARRIED 6-o LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: INITIATED BY: PARKING REGULATIONS PARKING UTILITY A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTION 27-23 (A- l 1), 27-34(A), 27-48(C) AND 27-49 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO PARKING REGULATIONS, PUBLIC PARKING AREAS, TEN HOIUR METERED CITY OWNED PARKING LOTS, AND MONTHLY PARKING LOTS. The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 27-23 (A-11) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to parking regulations on designated streets and alleys is hereby amended as follows: A-11 PARKING REGULATIONS ON DESIGNATED STREETS AND ALLEYS DIVISION STREET LOT Add Thereto: 2-hour parking except the 15 most northerly stalls bordering Division Street between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily except on Sundays and New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, SECTION 2. That Section 27-34(A) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to Public Parking Areas is hereby amended as follows: Delete Therefrom: (A) Twenty-four (24) hour limit. No person shall park or cause to be parked, any automobile, truck, or other vehicle whatsoever in any City operated unmetered public parking area for more than twenty-four (24) hours at one time, or such other period of time as the City Manager may hereafter designate. Add Thereto: (A) Twenty-four (24) hour limit. That Section 27-48(C) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to Ten Hour Metered Lots is hereby amended as follows: Delete Therefrom: (C) Jefferson Lot; the most easterly row and the east section of the middle aisle. Add Thereto: (C) Jefferson Lot; the 15 most southerly stalls bordering Jefferson Street and the east section of the middle aisle. SECTION 4. That Section 27-49 pertaining to Monthly Parking Lots is hereby repealed and recreated as follows: The following described parking areas are designated and established as parking areas to be leased on a monthly basis at the rate of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per month. Enforcement of the monthly parking stalls shall be between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except as otherwise provided herein. (A) (B) (c) (D) (E) (F) (G) (H) Algoma Boulevard Lot; the westerly row of the second aisle and those stalls facing Brown Street. North Main Street/400 Block West Parking Lot; the stalls on the perimeter of the lot bordering Division Street and Algoma Boulevard and the third east/west aisle south of Church Avenue. Recreational Gym Lot, between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., except for the reserved spaces on the south end of the Lot. State Street Lot; the most southerly row and the center aisle adjacent to State Street. The northern most row is reserved. (RESERVED) 9th Avenue Lot; the northerly most stall of the southerly most section on the east side. 9th Avenue Lot; the southern nine (9) stalls in the west row between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. High Avenue Lot; the east/west center aisle. The following described parking areas are designated for vehicles with a valid residential parking permit and holders of such a permit shall be entitled to lease a designated stall at the rate of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month. Enforcement of the residential parking stalls shall be all days 24 hours. Residential parking permits shall be issued to residents of the 400 and 500 blocks of North Main Street. (J) Division Street Lot: the 15 most northerly stalls bordering Division Street. Jefferson Lot; the 10 most northerly stalls bordering Jefferson Street. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, publication, and placement of the appropriate signage.
