BILLS It is recommended that the bills, as audited and presented by the Director of Finance, be approved for payment. 2. CHURCH PICNIC Request permission to grant approval to the Christian Faith Fellowship Church to utilize Menominee Park and facilities on Saturday, September 27,2003, from 11 :00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for their church picnic, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 3. OSHKOSH WEST HOMECOMING PARADE Request permission to grant approval to Oshkosh West High School to utilize city streets and facilities on Friday, September 19,2003, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., for their annual Homecoming Parade, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 4. ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce to utilize city streets and facilities on Saturday, November 8, 2003, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for the 20th Annual Holiday Parade, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 5. Wollangk, I am writing this request to hold a one-day event on Saturday, September 27, 2003 in Menominee Park at the Kiwanis Shelter # 1. This is a church picnic; our goals are to bring the church family together to fellowship and re3ching out to the community of Oshkosh. Christian Faith Fellowship Church is a new church ministry located in the city of Oshkosh. Our Pastors are Jason and Rhoda Turner. They have moved to this are3 and this event will help introduce them to the community and people of Oshkosh. They desire to bring togetherness to the Body of Christ and promote family fun and community fellowship. We have read the special event insurance requirement and will meet all that is required. With the school year rapidly approaching, we are busy planning for our Westfest coming up in the next few weeks. As always, we are planning to incorporate a homecoming parade ITom West to Titan and I am asking the City Council to approve the route. The parade will take place at 5:00 PM on Friday, September 19th and will hopefully be concluded by 5:30 PM. The route (which is drawn out on the attached map) will be the same as it has been for the past number of years with the starting point being on the North end of the North parking lot at West High School. It will then turn left and go West on Taft to Westfield. The parade will run ITom Westfield to Witzel going South. Upon reaching Witzel, the parade will turn left and head East until it reaches Josslyn. It will then turn left and head North on Josslyn to Titan Stadium. The police department has been notified, through our liaison officer Mr. Greg Linse, of the time schedule and proposed route. I would like to thank you in advance for the use of the city streets and facilities that allow us to hold this annual event. The Parade will be held on Saturday, November 8,2002 beginning at 10:00 AM. We anticipate that the parade will last for approximately an hour and a half. We will be having music on the square that day, along with many other activities for returning UW-O students. We will be holding this celebration in conjunction with the Grand Opera House's 1 20th Birthday Celebration. We are hoping that uw-o students and Oshkosh citizens will be able to mingle and enjoy the numerous fun things we have planned for that day. Your consideration of this request is greatly appreciated.
