DETERMINATION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTIES/
510 CAMPUS PLACE AND 211 DAWES STREET
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Approved
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Oshkosh to
acquire certain land to eliminate blighting conditions and better use underutilized
property so as to stimulate commercial and housing developments in an area located
adjacent to the Marion Road/Pearl Avenue Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, completion of said project requires the acquisition of properties
described as:
510 Campus Place:
The NW 45 ft. of the S 20 ft. of Lot 11 and the NW 45 ft. of Lot 12, Block K,
Western Addition, 1st Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin.
211 Dawes Street:
The NE 40 ft. of Lot 11, Block K, Western Addition, 1st Ward, City of Oshkosh,
Winnebago County, Wisconsin.
and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Oshkosh has found the
properties to be blighted and approves of said acquisitions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the Common Council certifies that in order for said purpose to be
accomplished, it is necessary for the City to acquire the properties described above. It
is further determined by the Common Council that acquisition of said properties is
hereby determined necessary pursuant to the provisions of Section 32.07 of the
Wisconsin Statutes.
