Dear City Council,
My name is Katie Gaier and I am the race coordinator for our 2aa annual Oshkosh On The
Water 5 community fun mn presented by the Oshkosh Northwestern. Our goal is to have
a fun Oshkosh event that families will look forward to year after year. The race mutes
will stay the same as last year. The route was well received and easy to manage.
The mn is planned for Saturday, October 18, 2003 from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. and will
consist of a five mile mn, a two-mile mn/walk and a 200~meter children's nm. The
proceeds will be distributed to three local non-profit organizations. The races will begin
in the green area near north High and Market Street (see attached race route).
I have contacted the City of Oshkosh Police Department and confirmed this as an open
date. I have also checked the Oshkosh community calendar and contacted the University
to make sure we are not conflicting with any other events.
Please consider this date and these times. I am confident it will be once again, a very
positive family event for our community. If I may answer any questions please contact
me at 235-6446.
Thank you.
