COMMON COUNCIL MEETING

A. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
1. BILLS
It is recommended that the bills, as audited and presented by the Director of Finance, be
approved for payment.
2. CHU RCH PICNIC
Request permission to grant approval to First English Lutheran Church to close Minnesota

Street, between 10 Avenue and 11 Avenue, on Sunday, June 1, 2003, from noon until
3:00 p.m., for their annual church picnic, in accordance with the att ached letter of request.
3. DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK SALE
Request permission to grant approval to the Greater Downtown Oshkosh Association to
close North Main Street, from Algoma Boulevard to Church Avenue, on Wednesday, July
9, 2003, from 9:00 a.m. unti l 5:00 p.m., for their annual Downtown Sidewalk Sale, in
accordance with the attached letter of request.
4. BLOCK PARTY
Request permission to grant approval to the residents of Powers Street to close Powers
Street, from New York Avenue to Baldwin Avenu e, on Friday, June 13, 2003, from 5:00
p.m. until 10:00 p.m., for a neighborhood block party, in accordance with the attached
letter of request.
5. MEMORIAL DAY PROCESSION
Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Patriotic Council to utilize city
streets, facilities and Riverside Cemetery on Monday, May 26, 2003, from 8:00 a.m. until
noon, for the Memorial Day Procession, in accordance with the attached letter of request.
6. ST. JUDE’S BIKE - A - THON
Request permission to grant approva l to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to utilize
Menominee Park and facilities on Saturday, May 31, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,
for a Bike - A - Thon, in accordance with the attached letter of request.
7. ALCOHOL & DRUG FREE STREET DANCE
Reque st permission to grant approval to the Kornerstone Recovery Club to close Market
Street, from Algoma Boulevard to High Avenue, on Saturday, May 31, 2003, from 6:00
p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for their Alcohol and Drug Free Street Dance, in accordance with the
att ached letter of request.
8. CHARITY RUN/WALK
Request permission to grant approval to the UW - Oshkosh Cross Country Team to utilize
Menominee Park, city streets and facilities on Saturday, July 12, 2003, from 7:00 a.m. to
12:00 noon, for a Charity R un/Walk, in accordance with the attached letter of request.
9. A FESTIVAL OF COMMUNITY
Request permission to grant approval to the Winnebago Peace and Justice Center to
utilize Menominee Park and facilities on Sunday, May 18, 2003, from 12:00 noon to 4:00
p.m., for A Festival of Community, in accordance with the attached letter of request.
10. SESQUICENTENNIAL 5K RUN, WALK OR ROLL
Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Convention and Visitors Bureau to
utilize city streets, Meno minee Park and facilities on Saturday, July 26, 2003, from 8:00
a.m. until 12:00 noon, for their Sesquicentennial 5K Run, Walk or Roll, in accordance with
the attached letter of request.
