COMMON COUNCIL MEETING
January 14, 2003

A. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
1. BILLS
It is recommended that the bills, as audited and presented by the Director of Finance, be
approved for payment.
2. WATERFEST CONCERT SERIES
Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce and
Waterfest, Inc. to utilize Riverside Park and facilities every Thursday night beginning on
May 29, 2003 and continuing through August 28, 2003, with one Friday night on August 1,
2003, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m., for the Waterfest Concert Series, with the
stipulation that the Chamber and Waterfest, Inc. pay the city the cost of all Oshkosh
Police Department overtime directly attributable to the extension of the entertainment
beyond the normal 10:15 cut-off time, in accordance with the attached letter of request.
3. AMERICAN RED CROSS FUN RUN/WALK
Request permission to grant approval to the American Red Cross to utilize Menominee
Park, city streets and facilities on Sunday, May 4, 2003, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., for
their sixth annual Fun Run/Walk and 5K Race, in accordance with the attached letter of
request.
4. OTTER STREET FISHEREE
Request permission to grant approval to the Otter Street Fishing Club to utilize
Menominee Park, Millers Bay and facilities on Sunday, February 2, 2003, from 6:00 a.m.
to 9:00 p.m., for the Otter Street Fisheree, in accordance with the attached letter of
request.
5. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. MARCH
Request permission to grant approval to the Fox Valley Peace Coalition and Student
Environmental Action Coalition to close Algoma Boulevard, from Opera House Square to
Reeve Memorial Union, on Monday, January 20, 2003, from.......~'~n r-.,,,.'" '"' *'".-. ~.---.'4'~n p.,.,.,,,. 3:15
p.m. - 3:45 p.m., for a Martin Luther King Jr. March, in accordance with the attached
letter of request.
